Introduction
Alpha Start is a Shopify theme by Nextype for stores with a large catalog. It is built around a catalog menu with up to three levels, a header with four layouts, a product search with suggestions and product cards that show the brand, stock status, rating and color swatches.
How this documentation is organized
Section titled “How this documentation is organized”- Getting started explains how to install the theme, how to work in the theme editor and what each theme style sets up.
- Theme settings covers the global settings that apply to every page: logo, colors, fonts, page width, catalog menu, product cards, search, cart, contact information and social media.
- Header and footer describes the header layouts, the mega menu, the mobile menu and the footer.
- Sections describes every section you can add to a page: banners and media, products and collections, and content such as advantages, reviews and FAQ.
- Page templates covers the sections that belong to a page type: product, collection, cart, search, blog, services and content pages.
- Guides walks you through tasks that start in your Shopify admin, such as filters, color swatches, size charts, ratings and forms.
- Help answers common questions, helps you tell a Shopify issue from a theme issue, lists image sizes and explains what our support team can help with.
Setting names, options and defaults in this documentation match what you see in the theme editor. Screenshots show a sample store, so your store will look different depending on your content and settings.
